Lt Colonel Canadian Militia/ for 21 years Sheriff of Niagara and buried there 1876. His grandson/ Adml. Sir Charles E. KINGSMILL R.N. formed and commanded the/ first Canadian Naval Force in World War I; died 1935 aged 80./ PARR KINGSMILL born 1786 Lieut. 88th Regt; Connaught Rangers,/ wounded in the Peninsular War, Mayor of Kilkenny 1835-6,/ buried there 1840 leaving issue in England and a branch in/ Australia, descended from CHARLES KINGSMILL Canon of Goulburn N.S.W./ WILLIAM KINGSMILL born 1788 lieut. 88th Regt./ Connaught Rangers,/ crippled at Ciudad Rodrigo, later of Frankford, died 1854 buried at Ballyboy/ King's Co. His son WALTER, a pioneer settler in S. Australia had a younger son/ Sir WALTER KINGSMILL President of the Commonwealth Senate 1929-32./ The earlier monuments were repaired 1947-8 and this tablIt erected by/ Major WALTER K.
