Patrick Flood and Margaret Kowragh mensa c.1615 Mensa of altar tomb or ledger slab. Rectangular slab with richly foliated interlaced cross with fleur-de-lis terminals on a shaft that rises from a stepped base. The shaft is knobbed below the cross-head and flanked on either side by streamers. At centre of cross-head is a Maltese cross. Marginal false-relief inscription in Latin black-lettering recorded by Carrigan (1905 iii, 93) as: HIC. JACET. PATRUS. FFLOUD. QUONDAM.BURGENSIS.CIVITATIS.KILKENIE.QUI OBIIT [ ] DIE [ ] ET. MARGARETA KOWRAG[h] UXOR. EIUS.
