Richard Vandeleur Bourke was born in 1884. He was the son of John Ulick Bourke (b. 8 July 1845, d. 17 May 1910). He married Mabel Pauline Gore (b. 17 April 1887, d. 23 September 1961), daughter of Lt.-Col. Ribton Gore (b. 12 March 1852, d. 28 September 1924) and Ada Sophia Dendy (d. 14 November 1944), on 2 July 1918. Richard Vandeleur Bourke died on 10 April 1952.He lived at Thornfields, Lisnagry, County Limerick, Ireland.3
