Description: The head of the stone probably had some decoration, maybe family Crest and Motto, which is no longer visible. Mid way down – in relief – large I H S with the H surmounted by a Cross with Nail terminals, beneath the H is a Heart. The inscription, very worn, is in raised roman capitals and lower case with a wave pattern border beneath. Beneath, in a panel, in relief, are the Mortality symbols of a Skull, Crossed Bones and the legend “Memento mori”.
