Headstone in limestone – facing west – enclosed on 3 sides (on the 4th side by the Graveyard wall) with a cut limestone wall capped with “heavy” ashlar limestone coping, on each corner is a square based pedestal reducing to a circular stone, capped with a cast-iron closed fist through which runs, on a semi-circle support, a linked chain (the original iron chain was made of very large iron links and was extremely weighty, unfortunately this original chain was stolen some years ago and has been replaced with a plastic one).  The headstone has a conical head with, in relief, “Not Lost but Gone Before”, the epitaph is in raised Sans-serif lettering. Mid-way down, on each side is a Scallop Shell carving, on each side of the inscription a column rises to the shoulders.   On the base, the psalm, in relief, is enclosed in a panel.   The stonemason has signed on the plinth – R Smith ______
