This monument was erected to his memory
by his affectionate brother Nicholas Doyle
The epitah wording is very faded on this stone. The stone has slipped off its supports.
Luke Doyle was born in Killeenbrack in 1786 and studied at Navan and Maynooth, where
he lectured at the Diocesan semunary
He served as curate in Milltown, Navan and Moyvore before being appointed Adm.,
Kilbeggan in 1818. He was appointed P.P. of Tubber in 1820 and Clare in 1822 when
he became Master of Conference and Vicar-General of the Diocese.
