To the memory of Mr W Lyons John Street City
of Dublin who Departed this life 12 March 1821
Aged 53 Years
This stone was erected by his widow Mrs Ann
Lyons as a small tribute-----affection
He was many years an------- and highly
esteemed through life as an Upright and
independent man having realized -----
fortune with characted truly virtuous and
his death was deeply mourned by all ranks of his fellow
citizens which was evinced by the numbers
who followed his remains to this TOOMB. Even in his last
moments he did not forget the poor of this native city
having left numerous large legacies to charatible
institutions there and in the adjoining counties.
