This stone
marks the resting place of
the remains of
Mr. Alexander Mills
who was for 36 years master of
The Boy School and the teacher of the
male adult class in the sunday school
of St. Catherines parish
who died 1st day of June 1876
aged 66 years.

Some of his pupils and friends
who appreciated him during life
and desire to honour his memory
have erected this stone to testify
their admiration of his consistent life
as a sincerely humble follower of
the lord Jesus Christ
an kind firend and a sound and able teacher
of secular and religious truth and
to express their deep sense of gratitude
to him for his long and self denying labours
in the education of youth and manhood.
He died trusting only in Jesus.
