BRISBANE
WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON THE 19 DAY OF AUGUST 1817
AGED 37
AND OF MARY TOWNSEND SOMERVILLE HIS WIFE
WHO DIED ON THE 25. DAY OF MARCH 1868 AGED 88
Working for that blessed hope and the glorious appearance
of the GREAT GOD our saviour JESUN CHRIST
HERE ALSO LIE THE REMAINS OF
HENRIETTA BRISBANE
THEIR ELDEST AND YOUNGEST CHILDREN
Though art gone to the grave but we will not deplore thee
for Gos was thy ransom, thy guardian, thy guide
He gave thee, He took thee and will restore thee
for death has no sting for the saviour hath died.
