to the memory of John Vandeleur
Late Colonel of H M Xth Hussars
who died at Ballinacourty in this parish
April 1st 1864 Aged 71
He served with distinction through
the Peninsular War and at Waterloo as
Aid De-camp to Genl Sir John Ormsby Vandeleur
Also in the 71st Regt and 12th Lancers
