The Sheep Gap
Notes:
This was common in graveyards where sheep entered via a sheep gap or sheep pass from the adjoining field but cattle were not able to enter the gap. It was an enviromentally-friendly way of keeping the grass under control and preventing the growth of ivy and briars on masonry structures.
