This grave slab is part of a group of gravestones situated in the church enclosure. This small area is enclosed with metal railings and a gate in the period between 1874 - 1878 by Mary A Mannion (Dunmore), grand-daughter of Edward Duffy of Kidlawn.

Fr Redmond Duffy was Parish Priest of Moore 1782 - 1800. He was a native of Castlelambert, Co. Galway.

Also interred here is his nephew Fr. Redmond Duffy who was Catholic Curate in Eyrecourt Co. Galway but he did not minister in Moore. Fr Redmond Junior was son of Edmond Duffy of Kidlawn.
