Notes:

Magnificent detail on this headstone carved by Beegan Ballinasloe. Particularly note-worthy is the fine detail of the rope carving. It is believed that this would have taken considerable time to make. The inscriptions are on the sides of the monument.

Thomas Greene died in February 1908 & his wife Mary Greene ( nee Fallon) died in November 1897. Obituaries in Western Star state that Mary Greene and Thomas (Merchant) Greene are buried in Kilbegly. The names on the headstone are known to be children of Thomas Greene ( Moore parish and Society Street) and his wife Mary Fallon Greene. Thomas Greene was responsible for the memorial to Rev. McEvilly ( plot 109).

Joseph F. Greene (Merchant), died 1896, resided at Connacht Street Athlone.
