The address for this headstone is Attirory/Attyrory. John Ward was the son of Patt Ward and his wife, née Millar, of Kilcastle. His brother, Bartholomew Ward, is buried in plot 233. John Ward was a Justice of the Peace for Ballinasloe in the late 19th century. He was active in the Land League and a second cousin of Matt Harris, M.P. Mary Ward was the daughter of Gregory Kelly and Catherine Ledwith of Moore South. There is a window dedicated to Delia Ward to the left of the altar in St. Michael's Church, Ballinasloe. John Ward and Mary Kelly Ward had a son John who married Matt Harris's daughter, Catherine in 1903 in Ballinasloe.
