Erected in the 1950s by public subscription this memorial is situated close to the home of Patrick 'Staker' Wallace.

This community hall is a hub of local culture in this area of the Ballyhouras. The local heritage group Kilfinane Coshlea Historical Society work from here, a thriving crossroads dancing scene takes place here through most of the Summer on Sunday evenings.

A rock outcrop in Ballyriggin woods. It would be nice to have a story about camels in Ballyhoura but the name of this rock has a sadder, more ordinary origin.

Landscape

The second generation of 18th century German war refugees were transplanted to Ballyriggin townland in the mid-1700s. These refugees were known as Palatines and this hill was adjacent to one of their settlements and was renamed Palatine Hill to record their presence.
