Knight of the Legion of Honor.

He served with the

18^th Royal Irish Regiment

upwards of sixteen years

with distinction,

including the China and Burmese wars

and also in the Crimea

where he was severely wounded

at the siege of Sebastopol.

Died January 9^th 1889

in the 68^th year of his age.

Erected by his widow & sons as a

token of their affection and esteem.
