Notes:

A brass plaque attached to a polished wooden base. The plaque bears three crests along with the inscription. The first crest is at the top of the plaque near the centre and bears a Naval crown from which an armoured arm holding a dart-like object emerges. The word "VENTIS" occurs in a motto scroll beneath the shield. On the right is the badge or crest of the Lincolnshire Regiment consisting of a sphinx surrounded by a radiating pattern. On the left the crest of the Royal Navy (and its name on a motto scroll) are shown. This consists of a crowned anchor. The maker's name and address "T.R. SCOTT & CO DUBLIN" is stamped on the lower left hand comer of die plaque. This company of Abbey Street, Dublin also made the Gothic Revival altar which is located beneath the East window of this chancel.
