SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF MRS ISABELLA COPLAND WIDOW OF WILLIAM COPLAND ESQR FORMERLY OF THE ISLAND OF JAMAICA WHO DIED 10th MARCH 1837 AGED 71 YEARS. THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HER SON CHARLES COPLAND ESQR OF MONKSTOWN C° DUBLIN TO COMMEMORATE THE MEMORY OF ONE WHO, IN THE SEVERAL RELATIONS OF WIFE AND MOTHER, WAS DISTINGUISHED BY EVERY VIRTUE THAT COULD ADORN HER SEX AND WHO, UNDER MANY WORLDLY TRIALS, SUBMITTED WITH THE PATIENT ENDURANCE OF A BELIEVING AND HOPEFUL CHRISTIAN. A H.S. with a large base and triangular upper end. The top is pedimented and held an urn which has been broken off. The top, sides and base of the stone have been tooled. Inc'd. Ins.. The urn was broken in 1984 and one fragment lost. This was found in 1990 under a gravestone moved in 1984 and the fragments have since been repaired and replaced. It was moved to its present position in 1984.
