Mural plaque comprising a black-marble ground onto which is fixed a white-marble inscription table in the form of a stylised portico. The pediment is surmounted by a draped urn from which flames issue. The tympanum contains a wreath in relief. Below the moulded architrave are a pair of stylised trapezoidal pilasters which bear foliage motifs in relief. Below the moulded plinth is a cartouche bearing the arms of Evans.
