Valuable services to St. James Parish

Gratuitiously where he was much

Respected and beloved

His life was exemplary his Theological

Knowledge deep and varied

His sermons original and impressive

And his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ 

Simple but unwavering

His end was peace.

Died 6th. March 1896 aged 88 years

The just shall live by faith
