Erected by James and Martin Carew of Moher in memory of their uncle John Carew of Foilmohonamora who died June 1807 aged 56 yrs. also his son who dep March 1815 age 23 yrs O cruel death that we cant deny That broke the bands was so long aty We will meet on another shore Here deth it self will brake our bands no more Crudely incised letters on top – Pat Murphy Forkeala died 8th Dec 1952 and his wife Anne died Jan 1944?
