William St. Lawrence Tyrrell was the second son of the Rev Canon Gerald Wensley Tyrrell (see grave LI-TYRB-002 at Tullybracky) by his first wife Isabella Louisa Trotter (1812-1848) whose mother was Lady Mary St. Lawrence  (1787-1825), the daughter of William St. Lawrence 2nd Earl of Howth (1753-1822) and Lady Mary Bermingham (1752-1793).
