The Killeen is an ancient burial ground in the townland of Ballylinch on the Mount Juliet Estate.
The ruined Church now contains the mortuary chapel of the Earls of Carrick and some headstones marking the graves of old families in the neighbourhood. It is possible Killeen is Kilgrellan mentioned in various documents relating to Jerpoint Abbey. Within the mortuary Chapel there are eleven memorials and in the graveyard there are ten memorials. There is also numerous Stones marking unrecorded burials.
The graveyard enclosure would be approximately ¼ acre.
This graveyard is located in a very peaceful and scenic location with a back drop of large mature Beech trees. It is maintained to a very high standard.
