Description

The townland of Ightermurragh is nestled in between Ballymacoda and Ladysbridge. Ightermurragh cemetery was the site of  C of I church - only a tiny section of a gable/side wall remain today. The grounds are very well kept.  There is a Chest and a Table Tomb, along with iron-railing surround for several headstones. The Earl of Shannon buried 3 of his servants here and erected a headstone in their memory - see headstone number 10.
