This is an early ecclesiastical site (WA037-008001) founded by St Mochua or Cronin in the 7th century. It is also the site of the parish church of Clashmore within a rectangular graveyard. It contains a C of I church that has been converted into a heritage centre. A ballaun stone (WA037-008005) and two window fragment are the only surviving remanents of the earlier medieval site.
