Rev. Cornelius Murphy P.P. Ballinhassig
An honest man, a steadfast friend
A zealous priest
His ministery  extended over a period of thirty four years.
The first twenty of which were spent in
Missionary labour in distant India.
The other fifteen in his native Diocese 
where single handed and unselfish he endeared
himself to many who now deplore his loss
and have raised this cross over his last resting place.
A small testimony of their love and esteem
of his many and rare virtues
