Laurence was originally from Walderstown Drumraney,and moved to Tang when he married Mary Mcloughlin (coolvin)

She is buried in Noughaval Cemetry.

His sons Patrick, Coolvin (1930-2012) and Frank, Carrick (1938-2005) are interred in Templeavally cemetry

His son  Larry ,Creggy (1933-1998)   is interred in Tubberclair cemetry.

His Daughter Rita(Duggan) 1929-2015 is interred in Templeavally

His Daughter Theresa (Tess Jones)  1932-2016. is interred in Templeavally.

His Parents were Patrick and Mary Doogan.

Laurence was a tall red-haired gentleman. He spent time with his Aunt Margaret in Brooklyn America in the early 1920s before returning to Ireland and  marrying Molly McLoughlin and moving in to Coolvin. He died sudddenly in Navan hospital afer his second hip replacement. 

Molly was the recepient of a Cumann na mban medal for her role in hiding  Liam Mellows an Irish Volunteer, from the Black and Tans during the War of Independence. She was also Captain of the Tang branch of Cumann na mBan  in 1922.
