This monument was erected by Garrett Nagle Jun
Esqr Anno Domini 1796 to the memory of his ancient
family whose place of burial this old church has
been for several hundred years back among who
were interred here was the founders great grand
father Garrett Nagle Esqr late of Clogher, the very
near relative of Sir Richd Nagle Bart who was knight
of the shire for the county of Cork Aty General
Speaker of the House of Commons Secretary of Stat
and Lord Chief Justice of Ireland Also Lieth Here His
Wife Mary the Daughter of Sir FB Purcell Bart
Also Lieth here interred Edmd Nagle Esqr son of the
Sd Garrett and Mary and his wife Catherine Fitzgerald
who was lineally descended from the Noble House
of Desmond. HereLieth Entombed the Founders
Father and Mother Garrett Nagle Esqr late of Shanbally
Duff and Daughter of O Donovan of Castle
Donovan Aged 70 yrs. She was Aunt to Admiral Sir
