This Foley family were living in Tonaree, Templebredon, Co. Limerick in the census of 1901 & 1911.

Michael  Foley 1878-1946, son of Richard Foley & Catherine (Kate) Kelly and who had this memorial erected was born in Lisheen, parish of Knockavilla & Donaskeigh, Co. Tipperary on  Oct 10th 1878 and died in St John's Hospital, Limerick on the 18th Apr 1946.

He married  Margaret Crotty, daughter of Timothy Crotty & Eliza Hanly of Deerpark, Shronell, Co. Tipperary on the 18th Nov 1914 in Lattin RC, Co. Tipperary. Children born to them included Richard Joseph (Dick Foley  1915, Timothy (Tim) 1917-1979, Catherine Mary 1918 & Elizabeth 1920
