John O'Donnell, a shopkeeper & publican in Knockane and son of Edmond O'Donnell, married  Margaret O'Donnell, daughter of Maurice O'Donnell on the 20th Feb 1878 in Templebredon RC, Co. Limerick.

Their son Edmond O' Donnell 1879-1944, of this memorial, was born on St. Stephen's Day, Dec 26th 1879. He married Bridget  Moore 1898-1968, daughter of  Thomas Moore & Hanora Connors of Gurtnakisteen, Pallasgrean, Co. Limerick on the 10th Feb 1923 in Templebredon RC, Co. Limerick.

Their daughter Hannah O'Donnell 1930-2003, of this memorial, married  Denis Whelan in 1950. They had one son, Edmond (Neddy). Hannah had a shop and a six day publican's licence at Knockane Cross.

Hannah's sister, Mary Ann O'Donnell 1938-2016  (recorded here), emigrated to the UK and married Co. Tipperary man Aloysius Darmody in 1959 in Preston, Lancs, UK. They had three sons, Michael J, Edmond, Anthony and a daughter Bridget. Mary Ann died in Preston.
