Denis  Connolly 1874-1960, son of  Denis Connolly 1833-1901 &  Ellen  Murphy 1840-1916 of Ballyhone, Emly, Co. Tipperary, married Margaret O'Neill 1879-1952, daughter of  John O'Neill & Mary Meehan  of  Knockaundoolis, Templebredon, Co. Limerick on the 15th Feb 1911 in Templebredon RC.

Their son  Denis  Connolly 1911-1967, of this memorial, was born in Ballyhone, Emly on the 5th Dec 1911. His siblings included Margaret  Mary Connolly 1912-1918, Mary 1913, Ellen 1915 (Jan), John 1915 (Nov), Patrick 1916-1997, Edmond 1918-1987, Margaret 1919 & Timothy 1920. Both  Patrick  Connolly 1916-1997 & his brother Edmond 1918-1987 were interred in Emly's new cemetery, Co. Tipperary.
