In the Vault beneath are interred the remains
of the
REVEREND MONTAGU LEAVER SHORT. A.M.
who died 19th September 1841,
Aged 53 Years.
He was for twenty years CURATE of this Parish
and was appointed
INCUMBENT of it, and CHANCELLOR of St PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL
in April 1841,
having been for seven years previously
PREBENDARY of CLONMETHAN
and one of the ARCHBISHOP'S Chaplains.
THIS TABLET
was erected to the memory of this most faithful
pious and discreet MINISTER of CHRIST
by
RICHARD ARCHBISHOP of DUBLIN
who had ample opportunities of appreciating
his exemplary character
both as CHAPLAIN and as a PARISH MINISTER
