This fragment of a graveslab which was brought in for safe-keeping is now displayed in the church on top of the Lynch tomb. It originally camefrom the old graveyard wall which surrounded part of the cemetery until 1984 when i t was demolished. A good part of the Ins. is intact making it possible to decipher the rest. The Ins. itself is Inc'd.. The date is missing. The slab has been cut down and trimmed for reuse as paving, probably during the 19th century. The second name on the stone, that of the father, appears to be Richfard] Watters, who was a Solfdier] in General Ottw[ays] Regiment. For General Ottway see No. 71 where his regiment is also mentioned.
