RUTHERFORD-READE. DENNY. CLOUGH-TAYLOR
Notes:

This is a brass plaque on a black marble background. Above the Ins. there is a regimental crest with a garter which bears the motto "QUIS SEPARABIT". The centre piece is set against a red enamel background and bears the traditional crowned harp. "The Connaught Rangers" is stamped under the crest in a scroll-work pattern. Around the border of the plaque there is a pseudo-Celtic frieze of interlace and floral patterns. The monument is of brass set against a black lacquer. It is interrupted at the four comers and also directly below the crest, on the bottom line, by five squares of floral decoration each bearing four leaf-like forms. These squares are red in colour. In the left hand comer the words "GAWTHORP Sc LONDON" and "LATTEN" are written. * beneath the arms of the Grammar School. The quotation should be from Matthew, Chapter 5, Verse 8. . 9
