Fleetwood Berry (1912 A), 6 gives two versions of this inscription. In one version he gives the first date of death as "July 27th 1743” and in the other as "Febr 27 1743". In one version he gives the second name as Katherine who died 1787 (or 1757) and in the 2nd version he gives no date. It would seem from his list that this stone was in the graveyard c. 1912.

Surname:
TRULOCK
Notes:

A portion of a neatly Inc'd. slab cut down and now reused as paving in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. The Ins. is partly in Palace Script, partly in unjoined lower case letters. The last two lines are separated from the upper two by a space. At least three of the sides have been cut down. The stone is worn and smooth and the name of the daughter "Rache[?l]" is very difficult to decipher. There are numerous incidental references to Simon Trulock in the Galway Corporation Manuscripts (Ed. Rabbitte), see Bibliography and also Library and Heritage Project Files-
