Fleetwood Berry (1912 A), 11 gives the inscription as H—C-F 1599 but the date is certainly 1555. The area where the "H" may have been is now very worn, and there is now no trace of a "H”.

A fragment of a slab which has been cut down for use as a paving stone. Two (?)secondary holes also occur in the surface, one of these is blocked with modem mortar. The Ins. and two rosettes are cut in low false relief within two pairs of Inc'd. lines.
