Notes:

This stone is very fragmentary and comes from the base of a long (probably tapering) slab. It has been pocked over heavily (probably in the 19th century) and also was recut ana trimmed to serve as a piece of paving. Only part of a very worn Ins. survives on the right hand side of the stone. The decoration consists of part of a cross-shaft flanked by vocational symbols, all incised. Of the cross only part of an elaborate moulded base survives. To the left of this is a hand with a dog on a lead (a sheep dog). On the right is a pair of shears (wool shears?) and a bird with outspread wings (a hawk or an eagle?). The Ins. probably originally read something like "— WHOES SOULES THE LORD RECEIVED —".
