This Monument was Erected by John Sheedy Serg1 Royal Irish Artillery in memory of his Son Thomas Sheedy who De parted this life the 30th April 1800 Aged 8 Months
This is a R.S. which is now used as part of the path around the church. The inscription is hard to decipher. The surname is probably Sheedy (or ? Hardy). The Ins. is Inc'd. and it has an Inc'd. border. A small skull and crossbones, now very worn, occurs at the bottom of the stone.
