John Rothe Cartouche Panel 1612? Rectangular cartouche panel bearing a Rothe heraldic shield with the Waring, Chamberlain and Archer coats-of-arms (Crotty 1978). The motto VIRTUTE NON VI (by virtue, not force) is in false-relief below the shield. An incised inscription in English Roman lettering at the base reads: Here lies ye body of John Roth Possibility that this was originally from the missing top tier of the John Rothe tomb No.10. 80cm x 59.5cm
