Richard Waton and Margaret Rothe mensa c.1634 Mensa of altar tomb of which no. 327 originally formed a side-panel. Carrigan notes that this slab was missing but was originally in the nave of the church (Carrigan 1905 iii, 96). Rectangular slab with richly-foliated interlaced cross-head with fleur-de-lis terminals. The cross-head rises from a shaft that in turn rises from a stepped base. At the centre of the cross-head is a Maltese cross. The shaft is knobbed below the cross-head and is flanked on either side by streamers. On the dexter and sinister, below the cross-head are the remnant panels for Tudor roses. There is an inscription in false-relief, in Latin black-letter. The inscription is both marginal and on the dexter streamers. It was transcribed by Carrigan (1905 iii, 96): HIC. IACE[N]T. RICARDUS. WATON. QUONDAM. BURGENSIS. SIBETATIS. KILKENIE. QUI. OBIIT. 13.
