This monument is erected by Mrs Eliza Kavanagh/ to the memory of her beloved husband Morgan Kavanagh/ of Red Acres in this County who dep this life on/ the 1st of March in the 30th year of his age. / (Blest with a Generous Heart and Noble Mind/He Loved His God, His Country And Kind/Each Fond endearing Claim His Bosom Knew/As Parent Husband Friend All Found Him True/In Lifes Bright Hey Day Twas The Almighty Will/With Sickness Dire His Manly Heart To Thrill/Casting Its Gloom O'Er earths Trail Pleasures Given/But As A Foretaste to the Bliss Of Heaven/Cheerd By hope Of Mercy From Above/His Spirit Soared To The Arms Of Changeless Love/Restend And Calm Alas in Manhoods Bloom/He Sunk Lamented To An Early Tomb) Also his sister/ Barbara KAVANAGH/ who died 10th May 1840 aged 14 years/ also his mother/ Mary KAVANAGH alias Newland/ who died 20th Dec 1842 aged 58 yrs/ also his wife/ Eliza KAVANAGH/ who died 6th Feb 1915/ in her 97th year.
