Dr Michael Richard Cleary was born in Feb 1858 at Gallaboola, Herbertstown, Co Limerick to parents Richard Cleary 1827-1902 and Hanora Cross 1826-1908 who were married at Annacarty RC, Co. Tipperary on Feb 6th 1853. Dr Michael Richard Cleary married Teresa Wallis 1863-1908 at SS Peter & Pauls RC, Cork City on May 4th 1886.
Children born to them included Teresa Mary Cleary 1887-1968 (of this memorial), Patrick John 1890-1967, Michael Joseph 1891, Richard Michael 1893, Charles Edward 1894, John Patrick 1896-1967 (of this memorial), Christina Mary 1897-1980, Cynthia Violet 1899-1996, Frances Xavier 1900, Mildred 1901, Joseph Raphael 1903-1991, Arthur Frederick 1904 & Marcus Anthony 1906-1985.
Dr Michael Richard Cleary 1858-1938, a widower, remarried to Kathleen Josephine Nolan on Jun 2nd 1917 at St Michaels RC, Limerick City. She was born on Jul 4th 1890 at Laurence St Drogheda, Co. Louth to parents John Nolan, a printer and stationer and his wife Mary Anne Dromgoole.
Dr John Patrick Cleary 1896-1967 (of this memorial) married Jane Frances Moloney 1900-1968 (of this memorial), daughter of Daniel Moloney & Margaret Harty of Bridge House, Knocklong, Co. Limerick on Apr 30th 1935 at St Josephs RC, Knocklong.
Their son Michael Cleary 1939-2015, was also a doctor and practiced in Hosptal, Co Limerick. He died on Feb 5th 2015. His obituary reads as follows :
The death has occurred of Dr. Michael Cleary of Gotoon House, Hospital, Co. Limerick.
Deeply regretted by his wife Joan (nee) Halley, sons John and Richard, daughters Caroline, Jane, and Edwina, sister Teresa and husband Frank Kent, sons-in-law Les and Pat, daughters-in-law Patricia and Aisling, his ten adored grandchildren, mother-in-law Mary, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews and nieces.
Reposing in O'Leary's Funeral Home, Hospital tomorrow, Saturday Feb 7th, from 3pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 11am in St. John the Baptist Church, Hospital. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre Limerick.

Dr. John Patrick Cleary born Sep 21st 1896. His wife Jane Frances (nee) Moloney was born Nov 24th 1900. His sister Teresa Mary Cleary was born May 29th 1887.
