Patrick Lynch 1890-1959, a pump sinker, son of Lawrence  Lynch 1855-1932 & Mary Healy 1856-1946, married  Catherine  (KateHayes  1891-1968, daughter of Patrick Hayes & Mary Allen on the 1st Feb 1911 at St Pauls RC, Whiteinch, Patrick, Scotland.

Children born to them at Hospital, Co. Limerick included :

1. Mary Lynch  1912 -   , married  Cornelius  Ferns  1915-1986  on the 17th Mar 1936 in Hospital RC, Co. Limerick. Cornelius Ferns died in Leicestershire, UK. A son of his, John Ferns 1936-2007, died there also. Another son William ( Liam ) Ferns 1942-2009, died in Shannon, Co. Clare on the 5th July 2009 and was interred in Illaunmanagh cemetery in Shannon. Their brother, Cornelius ( ConFerns  1936-2023 died in Leicester, UK on the 1st Mar 2023. His obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Cornelius ( Con ) Ferns, Corby, Leicester, England and formerly of 13 St. Joseph's Terrace, Hospital, Co. Limerick, 1st March 2023, peacefully surrounded by his family and in the loving care of the Staff at the Willows Nursing Home, Market Harborough. Predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Mary, his brothers John and Liam and his son Jason. Sadly missed by his daughter Caroline, son Paul, grandson Mark, granddaughters Niamh and Katie, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces and a large circle of friends.

 Reposing at Central England Co-Op Funeralcare Home,1 Darley Dale Road Corby  Leicestershire on Tuesday, 4th April, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral will arrive at St Brendan's Church, Beanfield Avenue, Corby on Wednesday, 5th April, for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial at Saffron Hill Cemetery, Stonesby Avenue, Leicester at 12.30

4. Hannie ( Annie )  Lynch  1916 – 2010.  Married  James Begley  1913 –1994  of Croom, Co. Limerick on the 4th Jan 1940 in St Finbarr’s RC, Cork City . Died at St. Senans Tce, Croom and was interred in Reilig Mhuire cemetery in Croom.

5. James  ( Jimmy )  Lynch  1919 – 1983, married  Mary  Holloway 1919 – 1999, daughter  of John Holloway 1875-1921 & Hanora Hayes 1874 – 1957 of  Emly, Co. Tipperary in 1949 at Emly RC. See memorial  TS-EMOG-0470  in Emly’s cemetery on the historicgraves website for relevant information.

6. Thomas  Francis  Lynch  1923 - 2001, married  Rose Anne  Nolan  1918-1981 of  Edenderry, Co. Offaly on the 24th Apr 1944 in Edenderry RC. Both died in Leicester, UK.

7. Margaret  T ( Teresa)  Lynch  1931-1992  married  vet  Brian  Heyworth. Both  are  interred at memorial 0325 in this cemetery.

8. Catherine  ( Kathleen )  Lynch  1937 – 2022 married  John ( SeanDonegan  1932-2018. She died at Ardkilmartin, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick on the 8th Dec 2022 and was interred in Ballingaddy cemetery.  Her husband John predeceased her  on the 7th Jan 2018. He is recorded at memorial LI-BGDY-0099 in Ballingaddy  cemetery on the historicgraves website. This cemetery was surveyed by historicgraves in 2021, prior to Kathleen’s death.

Kathleen’s obituary  reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Kathleen Donegan  (nee ) Lynch  of Ardkilmartin, Kilmallock and formerly of Hospital, Co. Limerick on December 8th, 2022, very peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at University Hospital Limerick. Wife of the late John ( Sean ).

 Very deeply regretted by her loving nieces and nephews, especially Catherine Ford and Daveen, their daughters Charlotte, Janet and Teresa, brother in law and good friend Gerry Carroll, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours and her many friends.

 Reposing this Friday evening (9th) from 7.00pm at Daffy's Funeral Home, Kilmallock, followed by evening prayers at 8.00pm. Removal to arrive Saturday morning for 10am Requiem Mass at Ss Peter & Paul's Church, Kilmallock, followed by burial afterwards to Ballingaddy cemetery.
