Here lieth the body of John Benson who departed this life 11th of May 1808 aged 80 years

Laborious blasts on Neptunes wave has tossed me to and fro
In spite of both by God's decree I harbour here below
and tho at anchor here I lie with maney of our fleet
I must one day set sail again Our Savior Christ to meet

Also the remains of Issabell Benson alias Dougherty aged 64 years
