died at Cheltenham August 2nd 1869,

Charles John,
their elder surviving son,
a Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion of
Her Majesty's 24th Regiment,
born May 27th 1855,
killed in action at Isandlwhana,
on the 22nd January 1879.
