In memory of
Edmund Law
thirty years vicar of this parish
who died June 2nd 1835 aged 87 years.
And of Elizabeth his wife
who died December 24th 1823 aged 68 years.
They were the parents of fifteen children
of whom twelve survived them.
Also of
Elizabeth
their eldest daughter and wife of
George Laing
of Longhoughton
who died October 18th 1836 aged 52 years.
And of
Henry
their youngest son who died April 9th 1816
aged 19 eyars.

Their remains were interred
in this church near to this place.
