to the memory of
James Mitchell, theacher, Branton,
son of William and Mary Mitchell,
Powburn, who died 13th August 1843,
aged 23 years.
He was a young man of a cultivated and
refined mind, ever awrae of the
importance of his profession,
he discharged his duties efficiently,
gained the affections of his pupils,
and the respect of all who knew him,
'having kept the faith, he died the full
hope of attaining a crown of glory.'
William Mitchell, died May 23rd
1851 aged 6? years.
Mary Mitchell, died January 23rd
1858, aged 7? years.
