Notes:

This limestone ogee top headstone faces East and has incised decorative Roman lettering.  It measures to the highest point of the stone from the ground 2ft2in x 1ft7in x 4½in.  The height of the stone from ground to shoulder is 1ft10in.  The headstone is beveled to the rear.

The top of the headstone shows a christogram with a double bar Tau cross.  Diminutive winged angels on either side denote the assisting of the soul to heaven.  There are stratiated lines on lower half of stone, from under text to ground level.

Patrick Howard is the only mason recorded on a memorial in the Sean Reilig. He was probably a travelling tradesman as his style differs from the more raw vernacular craftsmanship of local masons.
