This limestone square top (with slightly angled corners) recumbent slab faces East, measures 7ft2in x 3ft8in x 4½in, and has incised Roman lettering.
It has a christogram carved in relief under a sunburst arc at the top of the stone.  The H of the christogram is intercepted by a cross and heart.
There is a plough motif at the base of the stone, indicating William Madden was a farmer.
* The Madden family in this burial plot are from Tullokyne with Anne's husband Mathias Caulfield from Ballinahallia
