This east facing limestone ledger slab is square top and measures 6ft7in x 3ft3in x 5½in. There is a fracture line splitting the stone mid way resulting in the centre of grave slab subsiding somewhat. The script on the ledger is incised Roman lettering and it has a christogram at the top with cross and inverted heart. The mason has been economical with space for lettering using abbreviations and a symbol resembling an inverted winged V for the word 'and' on the last line. The grave slab has floral relief decorative corners, possibly representing acanthus leaves which carries the symbolic meaning of beauty, immortality, and resurrection. This floral relief is also replicated on left and right of slab under the christogram and before the text. Each of the four sides of the slab also bear four scallop or sunburst designs in relief.
